Highsnobiety

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I’ve been reliably informed that quiet luxury is going absolutely nowhere. Well, not if Jennifer Lawrence has anything to do with it anyway, that’s after the American Hustle star was spotted serving up one of her most quietly expensive looks yet.

Lawrence, who is making a habit of dressing in subtly spenny clothes of late, was seen on June 29 head-to-toe in full The Row, a 'fit that also included the label’s $4,390 USD Soft Margaux 15 Leather Bag, and a pair of teenie ballet flats.

The Hunger Games star’s The Row flex comes soon after she was spotted dripping in Bottega Veneta and SoHo-based label Khaite (two more labels renowned for their wealthy discreteness), that before a more pared-back look (and my personal favorite) that was rounded out with a classic Ralph Lauren cap. Preppy!

If 2023 has been anything so far – with the the adidas Samba trend and the birth of Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton), it’s been one of a quiet luxury revival. And while some might see it as boring (Highsnobiety’s Jake Silbert, for one), I’m all for it. Don't @ me.

From the final season of Succession and Gwyneth Paltrow's inexplicably decent courtroom drip, to TikTok’s two million view-strong #OldMoneyAesthetic obsession, quiet luxury has been near on avoidable since the turn of the year. And now, thanks to Jennifer Lawrence (and her stylist?), it’s presence is only getting stronger. Soz.
